Armed conflicts are intensifying in various parts of the world, and global security is facing a grave crisis. As the Russian invasion of Ukraine enters its fifth year, a new armed conflict has started among the United States, Israel, and Iran, resulting in many civilian casualties. In light of this deteriorating situation, Mayors for Peace released a Joint Appeal strongly calling for an immediate ceasefire and the restoration of peace and stability. The Joint Appeal has been sent to all UN Member States and will be shared with all Mayors for Peace member cities.
